Masters track and field since 2012. Sprinter 100/200/400m.

Emma McGowan was born in Lille, France in 1968. She married November 1998, moved to Chicago where her husband is from. She became American citizen in 2012.

Emma started Track and field around 11 years old till 33 years old.

She was still competing till she had her twins in 2002. She put the track on hold for 7 years and started playing recreational women's soccer for 7 years.

In 2007, she started a new job as a school bus driver for special needs in Illinois for 8 years then moved to Georgia in December 2015 where she continued being a special needs school bus driver.

In September 2012, Emma decided to go back to track as a master Athlete. She trained by herself with no coach for a year. Then Coach Holloway coached her in fall 2013 to fall 2014. In October 2014 Coach Clifton Culpeper for Maximum Quotient track club became her Coach and has remained. Her first national was in Maryland March 2013 and she’s been successful, winning the 60m and silver for the 200m. Since then, she has won over 38 Nationals championships indoor and outdoor from W40 through W55.

In 2019 Emma’s daughter started Special Olympics bowling. She became a helper and chaperon, then started to play in the league with them in 2023.
