Scott Eriksson USA
One of the United States’ leading Masters throwers, Scott Eriksson has become a dominant force in shot put and discus. Since returning to competition in his mid-50s, he has won multiple World Masters titles, set American records, and established himself as one of the sport’s premier Masters field athletes.
Biography
Born in Detroit, Michigan, Scott Eriksson competed for the University of Michigan, where he was a three-time Big Ten champion and school record holder. He later qualified for two U.S. Olympic Trials before retiring at age 31. After more than two decades away from the sport, he returned to competition through Masters athletics. He is Senior Director of Technology Solutions for IDOC LLC and lives in Dallas, Texas with his wife, Olga.

Athletic Performance
Scott has won six World Masters Championships titles and 22 U.S. national titles. He holds American Masters records in discus and indoor shot put and set the M60–64 World Championships meet record in shot put. He was named USATF Masters Men’s Athlete of the Year (60–64) for three consecutive years from 2022 to 2024.
Community Impact
Scott is a strong advocate for Masters sport, healthy aging, and lifelong participation. He serves as Publisher of National Masters News and contributes to research and wellness initiatives including the Roskamp Institute Brain Risk Index and Boston College’s Move Goals program, promoting active living across all ages.
