Wacław Krankowski was born on January 19, 1951. His education includes Master of Law, Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń. He has been active professionally from 1974 to 2014.

1997-2007: Toruń Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Board Member.
1998-2008: "Polish Community" Association, Toruń Branch, Board Member.
1997-2005: Toruń Cultural Society, Toruń, Chairman of the Board.
Since 2002: President of the Polish Masters Athletics Organizer of over 40 editions of the Polish Masters Athletics Championships and numerous other national competitions in this category.
Vice-Chairman of the Organizing Committee for the 15th European Veterans Athletics Championships in 2006 in Poznań.
Vice-Chairman of the Organizing Committee and General Director of the European Masters Athletics Championships Indoor in Toruń in 2015, the World Masters Athletics Championships Indoor in Toruń in 2019 and 2023.
Vice-Chairman of the Organizing Committee for the European Masters Athletics Championships Indoor in 2024.
