On Saturday morning, all eyes at Celebration Pointe focused on the Men’s and Women’s Outdoor 10K Run. Team USA’s Joseph Gray and Great Britain’s Ellie Stevens dominated the field enroute to Gold. Gray’s time of 31:06 bested Italy’s Umberto Persi by 16 seconds. Spain’s Ignacio Garcia Ramon won Bronze. Ellie Stevens time of 35:29 was 21 seconds ahead of Team’s USA Katie Sherron who took silver with April Lund wearing Bronze.

“I felt really good the whole race,” said Gray. “You try to set a strong pace and get into a rhythm. Road races are all different so you can’t focus on time, you just must focus on you and the race you want to run.”

“This is amazing,” said Stevens. “I’ve been so focused on the track but back out on the road is where I feel the most comfortable. I enjoyed the course and being able to see everybody.”
