For many people the Torun WMAiC is a happy memory, and rightly so. The organisation and technical delivery were first class and a testimony to the quality of work undertaken by a range of people.

Our Polish friends were superb and well organised. Our international volunteer officials (IVOs) worked tirelessly and in full collaboration with the Polish teams. The IVO network represented a truly international dimension from eleven nations. Bringing another unique feature to our championships. I would encourage all of you to think about future involvement ( our notice to apply for Gothenburg will be published in October).

The newly re-structured WMA management team showed the pinnacle of professional judgement and control worthy of a world event.

Together these groups delivered at a level we have not seen before. The bar is now set very high indeed.

Thank you all
Alan Bell
Vice President of Competition
