GWES Falcon Award for Female Sports Diplomacy for Leonie Etong

After so many months of no competition, Masters athletes from the African region recently enjoyed a well-run championships in Nairobi under the leadership of the AFMA President Leonie Etong.  Leonie works hard for the success of Masters athletics in Africa. WMA is proud to inform that Leonie received the GWES Falcon Award for Female Sports Diplomacy for her long involvement in developing our great sport at National and International levels.

World Athletics Veteran Pin

Further we have learnt that the hard work of Leonie has also been recognised by Lord Sebastien Coe at World Athletics in awarding Leonie with the Veteran Pin.

World athletics president Seb Coe warmly congratulated her for receiving the Veteran pin award. World Athletics Congress granted this well-deserved award to Léonie Etong for her services to World Athletics and the sport of Athletics
This award is a recognition of her long and meritorious involvement with athletics, World Athletics and the Area Association activities.
