World, regional and country records were broken at the WMA Championship in Finland.
Not all venues were eligible for records because of their construction. Sandy Pashkin, the WMA World Record Keeper identified World Records set in Tampere. See the Tampere results website. The following areas were not up to standard. Retina: shot puts TESC: The shot puts, discus and weight throwing surfaces as they were raised above the landing fields and therefore illegal. No records can be obtained in the throws pentathlon. The following venues were legal for all records.

Hervanta: track, jumps and throws.
The 10 and 20K Race Walks

½ Marathon(WMA meet record only)
